About this Electrical Safety Awareness Course
This Electrical Safety Awareness course is designed for anyone who works with or near electrical systems.
Throughout the training, you will learn about the hazards associated with electricity—risks that are often underestimated, especially in lowerrisk environments such as office settings.
You will explore what electricity is, how it is produced, and how it flows. You’ll discover that electricity is a type of energy created by the movement of charged particles known as electrons.
Electricity is delivered into buildings across the country at varying voltages, which can create potential danger for anyone working around electrical installations or equipment.
The course also covers the risks linked to overhead power lines and the safety measures required to help prevent electrical accidents.
By the end of the course, you will understand how to respond quickly and safely during electrical emergencies to prevent situations from escalating. You’ll also learn about key electrical regulations and legislation, including what they require in the event of an incident.
To successfully complete the course, you must score at least 80% on the final multiplechoice assessment.
Your certificate will remain valid for two years.
